Piper Walnicki was born February 5th, 2007, a beguiling beauty, proud parents Brian & Lydia picturing her at home in Fredonia NY, growing quickly, wreaking havoc with her older brother Zachary.

Piper's doctors saw something different, diagnosing her with a rare liver disease known as Biliary Atresia.  Only a liver transplant could "cure" her condition, & at 9 months old she was listed with UNOS, the United Network of Organ Sharing.

Unlike many patients who are able to spend the majority of their time at home waiting for their transplant, shortly after being listed Piper had to relocate to the Ronald McDonald House in Cincinnati to be close to her transplant team & hospital.

The waiting game was on...

On June 4th, 2008, after 215 days on the waiting list, and 179 days in Cincinnati, Piper received her Gift of Life

We are profoundly grateful to the selfless individual for whom even death could not limit their kindness and generosity. Our deepest and most heartfelt prayers and sympathy go out to the donor's family for their loss.

Thank you for Piper's Gift of Life.

Special Thanks To:

Piper's donor angel

Those that have freely given their time, love & energy to help get Piper through this first critical stage of her life.  Our fundraising goal has been met & exceeded, and without all of you, it would not have been possible.  Thank you!

Thank you to all that support Piper in all manners possible!

COTA, the Children’s Organ Transplant Association, is a national charity dedicated to organizing and guiding communities in raising funds for transplant-needy patients. With the cost of a transplant often exceeding $500,000, many transplant patients are unable to shoulder the financial burden of such a procedure. COTA works with local volunteers to help raise funds.

100% of all donations are made available to Piper!
