A liver transplant is a lifelong, life altering condition.  As amazing as it is that we can fit our body parts into each other, it does not come easily, it does not come without risk, it does not come without cost, and requires continual monitoring.  Piper, strong and awesome, received her gift of life on June 4th, 2008, taking the first step on what will be a challenge for the rest of her life.
